THE FULL SPECTRUM Presented by Venue Partners ------------------------- The Full Spectrum Panel Discussion Series explores complex social issues through a prism of arts and culture. Held at cultural venues throughout New York City, the talks unite artists and audiences in a progressive look at the Arts, Beliefs, Business, Living, International Affairs, and Politics. Each event features four creators in a one-hour moderated discussion on a topic that links their work, followed by an audience Q&A. Panelists are drawn from the worlds of dance, fashion, film, literature, music, theater, visual art, and more. The forums are free to the public, and their impact lasts long after the conversations have ended. Past topics include: “Are we defined by our ideals, or our actions?” “Should family secrets stay buried?” “How will I be changed when I reach the other side?” “Given the economic crisis, how do we mobilize the creative community to action?” ”Which comes first, business or art?” "Where do we go when we can't go back?" “In pop culture and beyond, what explains our appetite for fear?” “What do other people’s stories tell us about ourselves?” “When the path is steep and the outcome uncertain, what compels us to help those in need?” “Can we change the system from within?” “How do we open people’s eyes if they refuse to see us?” “What drives us to create community?” “Where do we find the sacred?” “In the search for meaning, can doubt dig deeper than faith?” “Is it better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all?” “How do we continue after facing the unthinkable?” ”When the smoke clears, can we handle the truth?” |
